Community Service Representative
Home Instead Senior Care has launched a campaign designed to help adult children communicate with their aging parents about difficult life topics. Topics include end-of-life issues, when dad starts to date, sibling communication, driving, when health changes lifestyles. Along with topics such as, "you're wearing that?" and "is this a senior moment or something more?" Also included are ten tips to help seniors communicate with their boomer children. Based on research and experience, Home Instead Senior Care recommends that adult children follow the 40-70 Rule--If the adult child is 40 or the parent is 70, it's time to start talking. We have developed a free "conversations starters booklet" and complementary web site (www.4070talk.com) to help adult children learn how to better communicate with their senior loved ones. Contact Tracy Fazzolari, owner of Home Instead Senior Care, in Warren and Hunterdon County, for a free booklet at 908-835-1400.
